Your Neighbour’s Geese

The snakes that aren’t there, are they there?
Or do they just enjoy a scare?
Unless you plant a bamboo fence,
Your hedgehogs may have no defence.

Your neighbour’s geese may interfere
Unless you rent a herd of deer.
Relations can get rather tense –
Your hedgehogs may have no defence.

Unless you plant a gooseberry hedge
Your neighbour’s geese may have the edge.
With snakes and geese there’s no pretence;
Your hedgehogs may have no defence.
