Working Together
Like a cog on your bike,
or a link in its chain,
a piece of your jigsaw,
a carriage of a train,
your friend’s helping hand
that is always in reach,
a small grain of sand
on your favourite beach.
The pages in a book,
poems and their rhyme,
the beat of music
when it’s played in time,
the spokes in a wheel,
a pillow full of feathers,
our lives are so much better
when we all work together.
or a link in its chain,
a piece of your jigsaw,
a carriage of a train,
your friend’s helping hand
that is always in reach,
a small grain of sand
on your favourite beach.
The pages in a book,
poems and their rhyme,
the beat of music
when it’s played in time,
the spokes in a wheel,
a pillow full of feathers,
our lives are so much better
when we all work together.
