Work in Progress

This poem is
A work in progress.
It’s missing a few similes
And the metaphors are delayed
The rhymes are pretty dicey
And the rhythm can’t be saved
If you’re hoping for alliteration
Or onomatopoeia,
I’m afraid you’ll still be waiting
For the best part of a year.
Trying to find the words to write
Is causing too much stress
Which is why this poem remains
