Winter's Gifts

Winter seeps in through the night,
covering my world in white,
inviting me to step outside,
and take my sled for a ride,
build a snow fort in the yard,
with a snowman to stand guard,
make an angel in the snow,
pack a snowball I can throw,
wraps me in a cold embrace,
time to light the fireplace!
