Winter’s Arrival
Snow flurries whirled,
As the North wind blew,
Fir trees’ needles remained
Steadfast and true,
Upon shaken branches.
Robins’ fluffy chests heaved,
As the ice-chill raced,
Encouraging forest creatures,
To stay warmly placed,
And begin their winter sleep.
Shimmering skies sang
Music made with ev’ry flake,
By snow-laden mountains,
And the mirror-like lake.
Winter’s glistening glory.
As the North wind blew,
Fir trees’ needles remained
Steadfast and true,
Upon shaken branches.
Robins’ fluffy chests heaved,
As the ice-chill raced,
Encouraging forest creatures,
To stay warmly placed,
And begin their winter sleep.
Shimmering skies sang
Music made with ev’ry flake,
By snow-laden mountains,
And the mirror-like lake.
Winter’s glistening glory.
