The Dirigible Balloon
Poetry for Children

Winter Word Warning

Once let loose,
snowflakes
get quiet-busy
using up verbs:

fall
float
flurry
frolic
spin
dance
drift
whirl
whiten

and before they are done,
they occasionally tickle
the targets
of tongues.
