Winter Wear
Undies, longjohns, sweatpants, socks
(my favourite pair with dancing crocs),
T-shirt, sweatshirt, sweater, vest,
so much work — I’m just half-dressed.
Poofy snowsuit, one red mitt,
then one more mitt that Grandma knit,
boots and scarf and woolly hat…
Wait — where’s my hat? Beneath the cat?
With all this gear, I’m twice my size;
the only bare bit is my eyes.
I really want to run outside,
but I can’t budge — I’m four feet wide.
(my favourite pair with dancing crocs),
T-shirt, sweatshirt, sweater, vest,
so much work — I’m just half-dressed.
Poofy snowsuit, one red mitt,
then one more mitt that Grandma knit,
boots and scarf and woolly hat…
Wait — where’s my hat? Beneath the cat?
With all this gear, I’m twice my size;
the only bare bit is my eyes.
I really want to run outside,
but I can’t budge — I’m four feet wide.
