Winter Comes
Winter comes
And hushes the trees,
Its cold voice
Whispers in the breeze.
Winter hails
With blizzards a blow,
Flowers fall
Under the bitter snow.
Winter wails
With its icy cry
We're succumbed
To its frosty lullaby.
Winter hums,
Yet the robins sing,
With promise
Of the return of spring.
And hushes the trees,
Its cold voice
Whispers in the breeze.
Winter hails
With blizzards a blow,
Flowers fall
Under the bitter snow.
Winter wails
With its icy cry
We're succumbed
To its frosty lullaby.
Winter hums,
Yet the robins sing,
With promise
Of the return of spring.
