When Skeletons Catch Colds

When skeletons catch colds
they ache in their bones.
They shiver and quiver
and shriek out in groans.

Teeth start to chatter,
joints start to creak.
Bones once so strong
now feeling quite weak.

Medicine won't help
since they can't gulp it down.
So there's no use for doctors
or embarrassing gowns.

The cooling sensation
from a cucumber slice
will be hard to enjoy
eyelids sure would be nice.

To warm up cold bones,
there's just one thing to do.
They must take a hot bath,
a nice bone broth stew.

Steam from the bath
will cause bones to feel gummy.
Wrapped up in a robe
like a thin little mummy.

After a dirt nap,
bones feel better again.
Should have listened to mother
and put on his skin!
