The Dirigible Balloon
Poetry for Children

What is a Kiss?

A kiss is a sunbeam
A kiss is like snow
A kiss can be warm
Or blizzardy cold

Some days it’s slobbery
Some days a peck
Some days it’s endless
Some days a sec

A kiss is goodbye
And also hello
A sweet surprise,
A jolly ho ho

A kiss seals a letter
Makes boo-boos better
Promises forever,
forever,
forever

But when forever ends
a kiss mends your heart
all over again.
