What is Poetry? I Know!
After Eleanor FarjeonIt’s the shiny network of sparkle
In the dragonfly’s wing.
It’s the quiet glow
Of a firefly’s signal.
It’s the movement
Of the fairy ballet in rain puddles.
It’s the dance of dust caught
In a shard of light.
Rhyme, meter, rhythm, song of the soul,
That’s what poetry is!
In the dragonfly’s wing.
It’s the quiet glow
Of a firefly’s signal.
It’s the movement
Of the fairy ballet in rain puddles.
It’s the dance of dust caught
In a shard of light.
Rhyme, meter, rhythm, song of the soul,
That’s what poetry is!
