What I Did Over Summer Vacation
I didn't build a space ship,
I didn't sail the seas,
I didn't break the record for consuming feta cheese,
I didn't start a rock band,
I didn't make it rain,
I didn't join the circus,
I didn't swim to Maine,
I didn't climb Mt. Everest,
I didn't master Spanish,
I didn't learn the magic word that makes my sister vanish,
I didn't do a back flip from the high-dive at the pool, but
I didn't mind, 'cause what I did:
I didn't go to school.
I didn't sail the seas,
I didn't break the record for consuming feta cheese,
I didn't start a rock band,
I didn't make it rain,
I didn't join the circus,
I didn't swim to Maine,
I didn't climb Mt. Everest,
I didn't master Spanish,
I didn't learn the magic word that makes my sister vanish,
I didn't do a back flip from the high-dive at the pool, but
I didn't mind, 'cause what I did:
I didn't go to school.
