Weekend in Paris
We went on the tube
And we went on a train
That somehow goes under the sea –
We stretched and we yawned at la grande Gare du Nord
We had Croque Monsieur for our tea.
We went up a tower as high as can be
We blew un bisou to the crowds –
We climbed up the stairs
Then we rode in the lift
And amazed we gazed down from the clouds.
We met Mona Lisa
We met Mickey Mouse
We ate our baguettes on a bench –
And just like at home, sparrows pecked for the crumbs
But tweeted each Thank you in French.
