The Dirigible Balloon
Poetry for Children

Vacancy

A vacancy has arisen
within our Under Bridge division
to protect our lush, green spaces
from goats who want to feed their faces!

Would best suit grumpy candidate
Not easy to intimidate
Who will, if necessary show
their expertise in Taekwondo.

Skilled in goat negotiations
Deals well with hostile situations
Good at being terrifying
Can instil fear without trying
If you’re an angry, grouchy moan
who loves spending time alone
you really should apply asap
quoting reference – Trip Trip Trap!
