Trying My Luck
The nurses and the postmen and the ambulance crew.
The binmen and the teachers and the train drivers too.
The workers are all striking, and they’ve made it look quite cool.
There’s nothing else for it... I must go on strike from SCHOOL.
Mum, I understand that they are striking for more pay.
But I don’t get a penny to be sat in school all day.
This makes my case much stronger; I will fight for pupils' dues!
Yes, yes... I know... I’m going in....
Just putting on my shoes.
