Miss Rush-About
Was often seen out
On her snazzy rollerblades
She went to town
And mowed folk down
While wearing funky shades.
Miss Rush-About
Would quite often shout,
‘Coming through now, make some space!’
The rude girl would frown,
She looked like a clown,
As she skated without any grace.
Miss Rush-About,
Thought one day to flout,
The rules of the Highway Code,
She went through a red light,
While signalling right,
And landed upon her poor ‘node’.

Fiona has enjoyed and written poetry all her life. She has fond memories of family members sharing poems with her from a very early age. Fiona has taught in primary schools, across the age range, for the last twenty years and specialises in literacy. She loves language, learning and laughter. She also likes alliteration!
