Tomorrow, I will be a dog
Tomorrow, I will be a dog.
Not a small yappy kind
but a big scruffly woofer
who dawdles in and flumphs at your feet.
Tomorrow, I will be a dog.
Not a well-groomed Best in Show
but a wild tangle of dirt rolled adventure
who bounds back smelling of mischief.
Tomorrow, I will be a dog.
Not a fierce intimidating bruiser
but a globe eyed, smiley slobberer
ready to go wherever you go,
if only you’ll let me follow.
Not a small yappy kind
but a big scruffly woofer
who dawdles in and flumphs at your feet.
Tomorrow, I will be a dog.
Not a well-groomed Best in Show
but a wild tangle of dirt rolled adventure
who bounds back smelling of mischief.
Tomorrow, I will be a dog.
Not a fierce intimidating bruiser
but a globe eyed, smiley slobberer
ready to go wherever you go,
if only you’ll let me follow.
