This Banana
This banana,
The one with the fruit hat lady sticker on it, is my favourite banana.
This banana has been,
squashed,
squished,
and ever so slightly cuddled.
It has been poked,
bashed
and sliced.
It’s also been
smooshed,
rolled
and nibbled.
It was cut,
put on a plate and,
licked a little bit.
But this banana?
This banana has never been
eaten.
No, this banana has never, ever, been eaten.
We’ve saved it for later.
When it’s cake maybe I’ll eat it!
Don’t tell mum,
I just really wanted the sticker.
The one with the fruit hat lady sticker on it, is my favourite banana.
This banana has been,
squashed,
squished,
and ever so slightly cuddled.
It has been poked,
bashed
and sliced.
It’s also been
smooshed,
rolled
and nibbled.
It was cut,
put on a plate and,
licked a little bit.
But this banana?
This banana has never been
eaten.
No, this banana has never, ever, been eaten.
We’ve saved it for later.
When it’s cake maybe I’ll eat it!
Don’t tell mum,
I just really wanted the sticker.
