There is no Frigate like a Book
after Emily DickinsonToday I travelled across the globe,
I journeyed to the moon,
I rowed across the ocean
and came home all too soon.
I went to live in Neverland,
was a Viking with a sword,
I made friends with a caveman
through the magic of the word.
I walked in this enchanted world
I’d built inside my head
till mum said Put those books away.
Lights off now. Time for bed.
I journeyed to the moon,
I rowed across the ocean
and came home all too soon.
I went to live in Neverland,
was a Viking with a sword,
I made friends with a caveman
through the magic of the word.
I walked in this enchanted world
I’d built inside my head
till mum said Put those books away.
Lights off now. Time for bed.
