The Silly Knight
O, once there was a silly knight,
And on a damp and chilly night
He left off his warm underwear
And froze to death. I wonder where
They buried or cremated him?
Perhaps they armour plated him?
Or maybe when that dummy died
They went and had him mummified?
But wait! I’m being frivolous,
I’ll try to be more chivalrous,
And add, Now may in peace he rest
Dressed in a cosy fleecy vest!
And on a damp and chilly night
He left off his warm underwear
And froze to death. I wonder where
They buried or cremated him?
Perhaps they armour plated him?
Or maybe when that dummy died
They went and had him mummified?
But wait! I’m being frivolous,
I’ll try to be more chivalrous,
And add, Now may in peace he rest
Dressed in a cosy fleecy vest!
