The Scarecrow
The scarecrow's there
All stuffed with hay.
His job's to scare
The crows away.
He does it pretty well, you'd have to say.
He doesn't plant
Or reap or haul.
In fact, he can't
Do much at all,
Just stands there sneering, looking mean and tall.
You'll find this trait
In people, too.
Some concentrate
On scaring you
'Cause it's the only thing that they can do.
All stuffed with hay.
His job's to scare
The crows away.
He does it pretty well, you'd have to say.
He doesn't plant
Or reap or haul.
In fact, he can't
Do much at all,
Just stands there sneering, looking mean and tall.
You'll find this trait
In people, too.
Some concentrate
On scaring you
'Cause it's the only thing that they can do.
