The Princess Rule-Book
I wrote a letter to the Palace to find out how to be a Princess. And this is what they said.A princess never picks her nose,
Or squelches mud between her toes.
Or licks the gravy off her plate,
Or swings upon the garden gate.
She shouldn’t try to race the dog,
Or dig for worms,
Or pet a frog.
No flicking peas, no slurping soup,
No stirring ice-cream into gloop.
No dunking biscuits in your tea,
Whilst sitting in a Cherry Tree.
She mustn’t run, she mustn’t shout,
And rolling down a hill is OUT!
She mustn’t catapult a cake,
Into the middle of the lake,
Or zoom around on roller skates,
Whilst balancing a pile of plates.
Or feed her dog the broccoli.
It’s easy-peasy, so you see!
Just keep these rules and you will be -
A princess.
I think I’ll join the circus instead.Or squelches mud between her toes.
Or licks the gravy off her plate,
Or swings upon the garden gate.
She shouldn’t try to race the dog,
Or dig for worms,
Or pet a frog.
No flicking peas, no slurping soup,
No stirring ice-cream into gloop.
No dunking biscuits in your tea,
Whilst sitting in a Cherry Tree.
She mustn’t run, she mustn’t shout,
And rolling down a hill is OUT!
She mustn’t catapult a cake,
Into the middle of the lake,
Or zoom around on roller skates,
Whilst balancing a pile of plates.
Or feed her dog the broccoli.
It’s easy-peasy, so you see!
Just keep these rules and you will be -
A princess.
