The Little Coconut Tree
One day, you’ll be a mighty tree
whose fingers touch the cloudy sky.
You’ll wave your arms to ships at sea
as planes with families fly by.
Below a branch, I’ll take a seat —
a hidden spot to have some rest.
While I relax out of the heat,
I promise to be a good guest!
New pals will visit for the view.
As they enjoy the cooling breeze,
they’ll stand for pictures next to you.
Remember to smile and say “trees”!
whose fingers touch the cloudy sky.
