Miss takes tough tasks as her guide.
Miss takes a bumpy old ride.
Miss takes a smile forged with pride.
Mistakes? As long as you tried.
Miss takes it all in her stride.
Miss trusts in turning the tide.
Miss teaches us well, I confide.

Leigh is a new phase poet from Maesteg in South Wales. His writing for adults explores themes including cultural identity and living with chronic illness, and has featured in publications by Poetry Wales, Nawr Magazine, Black Bough Poetry, and The Seventh Quarry. In 2022, he was shortlisted for Disability Arts Cymru’s Creative Word Award.
