The Christmas Beast

Have you ever seen the Christmas Beast?
He’s a rather fearsome soul.
His mane is made out of paper chains
and his eyes are made out of coal.
His legs are two fir trees,
which mean he’s really tall.
But his arms are just two candy canes
and so they’re rather small.
He wears snowflakes round his neck
and baubles instead of shoes.
And his stomach’s covered in Christmas gifts,
like books and socks and old kazoos!
He eats Christmas cards for breakfast
and tinsel tarts for lunch.
But when it comes to dinner time,

She lives in New Brighton and is also a children’s author, since her debut picture book ‘A Match for a Mermaid’ was published in June 2021 after it won an international writing competition.
