The Aurora Dance
Flying upon a veil of stars,
Among the waving lights,
Joining in the ancient dance
Are the Aurora sprites.
Beams of light
Glint off their fragile wings,
While the rasping voice
Of the North Wind sings.
Deep and rich,
Mint greens and midnight blues,
Burning up the sky,
Red shades and orange hues.
Colourful and shimmering,
A bending, wavering wall,
They dance merrily
Till the moon begins to fall.
Among the waving lights,
Joining in the ancient dance
Are the Aurora sprites.
Beams of light
Glint off their fragile wings,
While the rasping voice
Of the North Wind sings.
Deep and rich,
Mint greens and midnight blues,
Burning up the sky,
Red shades and orange hues.
Colourful and shimmering,
A bending, wavering wall,
They dance merrily
Till the moon begins to fall.
