Spring, Blade of Grass Kata

Edge of blade slice wind…
Spring, green, and turn toward the sun
crowd out weeds…
catch and cushion raindrops…
hold soil together
send out deep roots
leaves form a helix pattern in balance
roots rooted deep

Edge ridge hand strike-through fear
turn and spin kick doubt
stand up to bullies
catch and nurture positivity
hold friendships together
deeply rooted in horse stance
foster deep connections and balance
roots rooted deep

Elevate knee
Elevate positivity
Extend kick pull back strike
Extend punch twist arm and hip for power
Block out fear, strike down negativity
“HI-YAH!”
I can do anything!

Filter, nourish
hold Earth together!
“Hi-YAH!”
