Splishy Splashy Day

Wavy circles ripple.
Pitter-patter sound.
Splishy sploshy puddles.
Squishy squashy ground.

Boot splash,
Skip, stomp,
Laugh, squeal,
Jump, PLOMP!

Raindrop speckled forehead.
Socks that stick to toes.
Drizzle drippy raincoat.
Sopping soggy clothes.

Boot splash,
Skip, stomp,
Laugh, squeal,
Jump, PLOMP!
Mucky marshy dirt trails.
Holes that fill and flood.
Tree roots drinking deeply.
Slippy sloppy mud.

Boot splash,
Skip, stomp,
Laugh, squeal,
Jump, PLOMP!

Sleepy critters nestle.
Wings spread out to fly.
Shiny sprinkles linger.
Sunrays peek through, shy.

Boot splash,
Skip, stomp,
Laugh, squeal,
Jump, PLOMP!

Flowers dry in sunlight.
Rain clouds roll on by.
Orange, yellow, purple.
Rainbow sweeps the sky!
