Something’s Come Over Mother
Something’s come over Mother.
Last night she found a bug.
Instead of simply squishing it
She trapped it in a mug.
This was not any old mug,
It’s the best one that I’ve got.
I painted it myself with lots of
Stars and stripes and dots.
But wait that’s not the worst bit.
This part will turn you green.
The bug was a big spider
With the hairiest legs I’ve seen.
What if it laid some eggs?
Will they hatch in my coco?
If spiders crawl around my mouth
I’ll go downright loco.
I’ve got to get Mum back.
I think it’s only fair.
Next time we come across a bug
It’s going in her hair.
Last night she found a bug.
Instead of simply squishing it
She trapped it in a mug.
This was not any old mug,
It’s the best one that I’ve got.
I painted it myself with lots of
Stars and stripes and dots.
But wait that’s not the worst bit.
This part will turn you green.
The bug was a big spider
With the hairiest legs I’ve seen.
What if it laid some eggs?
Will they hatch in my coco?
If spiders crawl around my mouth
I’ll go downright loco.
I’ve got to get Mum back.
I think it’s only fair.
Next time we come across a bug
It’s going in her hair.
