The Dirigible Balloon
Poetry for Children

Snow!

New mittens, new hat,
and a red-striped scarf
will keep me warm
when cold winds blow.
I zip my coat,
wear extra socks,
warm, fuzzy boots—
I’m ready to go!
But the sun still shines,
and the green grass grows.
Hurry up, winter!
It’s time for snow!
