Snow Day

Noses smooshed against glass window panes,
With only one thought bouncing around in their brains,
The weatherman said all conditions were right,
To have lots of snow come down overnight.
They’ll stay home from school and have snowball fights,
Drink hot cocoa from mugs and hang Christmas lights.
And when they’re snuggled in bed they’ll all pray,
That tomorrow turns into another snow day.
