Snow Bird
You left your tummy outside my window—
I see a gully where you rested near
with folded wings and tightened tail
an unmussed shape in the snow—right here!
Oh, cold snow bird, I bet you flew
with sudden lift-off, leaving me
for toasty places where palm trees sway
and just an echo in snow on my balcony!
I see a gully where you rested near
with folded wings and tightened tail
an unmussed shape in the snow—right here!
Oh, cold snow bird, I bet you flew
with sudden lift-off, leaving me
for toasty places where palm trees sway
and just an echo in snow on my balcony!
