Snow!
All eyes were glued to the window,
as slowly a white blanket spread.
Our teacher droned on about fractions,
but nobody heard what she said.
Snowflakes swirled wild round the playground,
they covered the car park and shed.
Our teacher explained about adverbs,
but nobody heard what she said.
Spellbound, we gazed out with longing
and visions of snowmen filled heads.
Our teacher read poems about winter
but nobody heard what she said.
Snowdrifts built up against fences.
We daydreamed of snowballs and sleds.
Our teacher sighed, “Coats on, it’s play time!”
and everyone heard what she said!
as slowly a white blanket spread.
Our teacher droned on about fractions,
but nobody heard what she said.
Snowflakes swirled wild round the playground,
they covered the car park and shed.
Our teacher explained about adverbs,
but nobody heard what she said.
Spellbound, we gazed out with longing
and visions of snowmen filled heads.
Our teacher read poems about winter
but nobody heard what she said.
Snowdrifts built up against fences.
We daydreamed of snowballs and sleds.
Our teacher sighed, “Coats on, it’s play time!”
and everyone heard what she said!
