Sneezy-breezy

Listen to Carmen ...

Ka-choo! Achoo! Hatschi!
Terrible noises coming from the sea,
And we all wonder what’s the reason.
Everyone sneezes like it’s pollen season,
Sailors and fishermen, fish and seabirds,
They all sneeze so hard, I’m at a loss for words.
Sharks, herring, mackerel and sardines,
Frigates, cruise ships and submarines
Octopi, octopuses, octopodes,
Down to the smallest marine nematode,
Go “Bless you”, “Gesundheit” and “Salud”,
All in one sneezy-breezy brotherhood.

But it’s no wonder and no mystery
What caused the whole hullabaloo:
Whoever put salt in the sea
Added some pepper, too.
