Sky Cake
Skip if you like
but I’m going to fly,
sieve all those flour clouds
that soften the sky.
Jump if you like
but I’m going to fly,
right to that sunset
to find the yolk of the sky.
Run if you like
but I’m going to fly,
soar through that rainbow
and collect the sugar of the sky.
Climb if you like
but I’m going to fly,
grab some of those star shapes
and cut the butter of the sky.
Walk if you like
but I’m going to fly,
I may be home soon
with my cake full of sky.
but I’m going to fly,
sieve all those flour clouds
that soften the sky.
Jump if you like
but I’m going to fly,
right to that sunset
to find the yolk of the sky.
Run if you like
but I’m going to fly,
soar through that rainbow
and collect the sugar of the sky.
Climb if you like
but I’m going to fly,
grab some of those star shapes
and cut the butter of the sky.
Walk if you like
but I’m going to fly,
I may be home soon
with my cake full of sky.
