Shooting Star
Last night I saw a shooting star,
It blazed across the sky.
I’m not sure where it came from,
But I glimpsed it flashing by.
So fast, I saw it whizzing past.
I blinked, then it was gone,
I wonder now, how long I’ll wait,
Til I see another one?
It blazed across the sky.
I’m not sure where it came from,
But I glimpsed it flashing by.
So fast, I saw it whizzing past.
I blinked, then it was gone,
I wonder now, how long I’ll wait,
Til I see another one?

About the Writer
Graham Cawser
Graham loves children’s literature and enjoys writing and drawing. He was raised in rural Staffordshire, and that was where his imaginings first saw the light of day. He says "Visiting schools and writing poetry for children is a treasured joy. Children’s reactions to pictures and rhyme is magical, and nothing beats watching a child’s face when they realize they can write and illustrate their own stories."
