Ready for Christmas
Snowmen built, sledges rode,
ice-cold hands, frozen toes.
Presents wrapped, cards all sent,
audience tears, nativities end.
Crackers bought, puddings made,
holly on cakes, tables laid.
Baubles up, tinsel hung,
mince pies out, carols sung.
Early bedtimes, Santa’s near,
one eye open, one smart ear.
Moonlit night, my hungry cat,
Christmas claws, decorate my lap.
ice-cold hands, frozen toes.
Presents wrapped, cards all sent,
audience tears, nativities end.
Crackers bought, puddings made,
holly on cakes, tables laid.
Baubles up, tinsel hung,
mince pies out, carols sung.
Early bedtimes, Santa’s near,
one eye open, one smart ear.
Moonlit night, my hungry cat,
Christmas claws, decorate my lap.
