Purple Colored Glasses

Purple parakeets with purple feathers
Suited with purple tie dye shirts fly past
Complete with purple beaks and purple feet
Could only mean one thing: the Sun turned purple.

Businessmen unicycle past pedaling purple pedals
They carry bouquets of purple balloons
They don purple suits and purple hats and hair
Complete with purple gloves and purple pantaloons
Could only mean one thing: the Sun turned purple.

Purple rays pierce purple valances
Purple dino window pane stickers gleam
Purple dinos dance to life on needles and balance
Complete with purple claws and feet
Could only mean one thing: the Sun turned purple.

Purple rays glint through the tallest trees and branches
Beams through purple cups and glasses.
A purple glow like an upside down bowl on the horizon
I still must contemplate.
We only need to look at the world through purple colored glasses.
