Over the Moon
I wasn't doing anything
On Sunday afternoon
So I built myself a rocket
And I’m going to the moon.
It is blue and red and purple
It is yellow green and brown
And it only has two buttons
One for up and one for down.
But going into space can be
An awful lot of fuss
You can't get there by bicycle
Or double decker bus.
That’s why I had to build myself
A great big rocket ship,
My mum has put some biscuits
In my lunchbox for the trip.
I’m getting up at seven
And I’m setting off at eight
So if you’re coming with me
Please be early
Don't be late!
On Sunday afternoon
So I built myself a rocket
And I’m going to the moon.
It is blue and red and purple
It is yellow green and brown
And it only has two buttons
One for up and one for down.
But going into space can be
An awful lot of fuss
You can't get there by bicycle
Or double decker bus.
That’s why I had to build myself
A great big rocket ship,
My mum has put some biscuits
In my lunchbox for the trip.
I’m getting up at seven
And I’m setting off at eight
So if you’re coming with me
Please be early
Don't be late!
