October
October's the hardest month for me.
Do you have one that's hard for you?
I lost someone who lived each day
large with joy and love for all.
He taught me that, like quicksilver,
all moments pass,
so, in October,
I'll think of him,
and I'll be
dripping opals,
whispering spells,
wearing velvet,
chasing ghosts,
stirring soup,
and gathering friends.
As October ends,
I'll light candles,
track moon glimmer,
give thanks
for the magic
of him.
Do you have one that's hard for you?
I lost someone who lived each day
large with joy and love for all.
He taught me that, like quicksilver,
all moments pass,
so, in October,
I'll think of him,
and I'll be
dripping opals,
whispering spells,
wearing velvet,
chasing ghosts,
stirring soup,
and gathering friends.
As October ends,
I'll light candles,
track moon glimmer,
give thanks
for the magic
of him.
