Octo-mum

There’s no-one quite like Octo-mum
each tentacle is made for fun –

a groovy one for disco waves
a grabby one for footie-saves
a starry one for magic tricks
and one for throwing doggie sticks
a wriggly one for tickle-toes
a clean one just for nosey blows
a splashy one for puddle time
and one that taps along in rhyme.

And when I get the rumble-tums
she bakes her special octo-yums
and shares them out all down the street
so everyone enjoys the treat.

On snowy days, she really loves
to knit the family octo-gloves
so every tentacle is snug
and warm and wonderful to hug!

At weekends all her octo-chums
come round to sing and play the drums
to harmonise and strum guitar
(my octo-mum’s a superstar!)

And when the day is almost done
my drumming, strumming
crafting, dafting,
making, baking
juggling, cuddling
octo-mum

fills up the tub, and sinks in deep
to lovely bubbly octo-sleep.
