No Ordinary Orrery
Grandpa made me an orrery for Christmas.
Yes, an Orrery!
Say Horror.
Now say Horrory
Now take the H away
and you’ll have yourself an Orrery
Yes, an Orrery!
Say Horror.
Now say Horrory
Now take the H away
and you’ll have yourself an Orrery

Well, that’s all very interesting,
but Grandpa’s orrery
is no ordinary orrery.
It’s an incredible edible orrery!
A Cosmic Christmas Feast!
A Galaxy of Gastronomy!
That can only be understood orally.
You see Grandpa made my orrery
-Jupiter, Mercury, Mars and the like-
from chestnuts, cheeseballs, meatballs and broccoli,
roast spuds, baby beets, garden peas and cranberries.
and a big Chocolate Orange for the sun!
Mmm. Heavenly!
And so I munched my merry way
through this Yummy Yuletide Universe!
Until, “Don’t you even think
about going anywhere near
that big chocolate sun!”
says Mum,
“til you’ve eaten up your planet earth.”
Grandpa snorts and sniggers at this.
I grumble, mumble and pout!
Why did he make the planet earth
from a beastly Brussel sprout?
but Grandpa’s orrery
is no ordinary orrery.
It’s an incredible edible orrery!
A Cosmic Christmas Feast!
A Galaxy of Gastronomy!
That can only be understood orally.
You see Grandpa made my orrery
-Jupiter, Mercury, Mars and the like-
from chestnuts, cheeseballs, meatballs and broccoli,
roast spuds, baby beets, garden peas and cranberries.
and a big Chocolate Orange for the sun!
Mmm. Heavenly!
And so I munched my merry way
through this Yummy Yuletide Universe!
Until, “Don’t you even think
about going anywhere near
that big chocolate sun!”
says Mum,
“til you’ve eaten up your planet earth.”
Grandpa snorts and sniggers at this.
I grumble, mumble and pout!
Why did he make the planet earth
from a beastly Brussel sprout?
