No Nose Harry
One day my nose jumped off my face,
It took me by surprise,
It said, “I’m growing tired
Of sitting between your eyes.”
Next my elbows said, “Goodbye,
It’s time that we were gone.”
And since they were attached,
They took my arms and hands along.
My calves then put on quite a show,
A theatrical retreat,
And as they marched away they took
My ankles and my feet.
My knees felt it the proper time
To bid a fond farewell,
After their goodbyes, my thighs
Felt they should go as well.
Someday, pretty soon I hope,
They’ll all come back again,
But right now, I was wondering,
Could you please scratch my chin?
It took me by surprise,
It said, “I’m growing tired
Of sitting between your eyes.”
Next my elbows said, “Goodbye,
It’s time that we were gone.”
And since they were attached,
They took my arms and hands along.
My calves then put on quite a show,
A theatrical retreat,
And as they marched away they took
My ankles and my feet.
My knees felt it the proper time
To bid a fond farewell,
After their goodbyes, my thighs
Felt they should go as well.
Someday, pretty soon I hope,
They’ll all come back again,
But right now, I was wondering,
Could you please scratch my chin?
