The Dirigible Balloon
Poetry for Children

Night

(A Nonet)

Treetops whisper secrets to the moon,
tawny owl makes his eerie call,
stealthily a fox slinks by,
fingered wings haunt the sky,
ghostly moths flutter,
wood mice skitter,
lone cats howl,
stray winds,
prowl.
