Mythical Meeting

Listen to Fiona read her poem ...
What would you do if a dragon suddenly flew your way?
Would you invite him to light a roaring fire,
Or frighten nosy neighbours away?

What would you do if a mermaid gracefully swam your way?
Would you ask her to sing you a beautiful song,
Or swim with her in the bay?

What would you do if a unicorn pranced around your way?
Would you offer it sugar canes and gilded sweets,
Or ride it to Monterey?

What would you do if three-headed Cerberus, came to stay?
Would you throw him a bone, and share some food,
Or quickly run far away?

I don’t know what I would do on such a magical day!
If I could meet these great creatures,
I hope I’d have time to play!
