My Very Excellent Mother Just Served Us Noodles
With ingredients from Planet Deli,
just down the street,
my mother makes tasty noodles,
an extraterrestrial treat.
Miso paste from Mercury.
Venus vinegar from a jar.
Edamame from planet Earth.
Mushrooms from faraway Mars.
Juicy Jupiter jalapenos.
Saturn soy sauce – just a splash.
Udon noodles from Uranus.
Neptune nori – a generous dash.
Each bowl is a mix of flavors
from millions of miles away.
My mother’s noodles are out of this world.
I could eat them every day.
just down the street,
my mother makes tasty noodles,
an extraterrestrial treat.
