My Shadow is a Giant

My shadow is a giant,
He’s really rather tall
My shadow is a giant,
And yet I’m rather small
My shadow is a giant,
He comes everywhere with me,
My shadow’s getting on a bit,
I think he’s thirty-three
My shadow is a giant,
And everywhere we go,
My shadow will protect me
From the bullies - fee-fi-fo !
My shadow is a giant,
And I think I’ll take him home
With my shadow standing by my side,
I shall never feel alone

About the Writer

Tom Owen

Tom is a barrister who likes to escape from his busy day job by writing songs and poetry for (and with) his two young boys. His poems focus on anything that can capture his boys’ imagination. So, knights, exotic animals and absurdist adventures feature heavily. It is his ambition to one day publish a book of children’s poetry.
