My Love For You
Like the swelling sea
from a rising tide
Like the growing flames
of a bright bonfire
My love for you
reaches for the sky
and flies to wherever you are
Like a soaring bird
beneath the sun
Like a swooping rainbow
after the storm is done
My love for you
had already begun
before I ever met you
Like the distant stars
that sparkle with light
Like the soft sunrise
after a sleepy night
My love for you
Is steady like an airplane flight ...
My love, I’ll see you soon
from a rising tide
Like the growing flames
of a bright bonfire
My love for you
reaches for the sky
and flies to wherever you are
Like a soaring bird
beneath the sun
Like a swooping rainbow
after the storm is done
My love for you
had already begun
before I ever met you
Like the distant stars
that sparkle with light
Like the soft sunrise
after a sleepy night
My love for you
Is steady like an airplane flight ...
My love, I’ll see you soon
