My Kite
My kite is a dragon,
swooping through the skies,
My kite has eyes ablaze,
With sunlight as it flies.
My kite is a bird of prey,
Scanning the Earth for food,
It soars up high and glides,
Then dips when in the mood.
My kite is a butterfly,
Skittering on lacy wings,
Pretty colours fill my mind,
I hear its beauty sing.
My kite is full of happy thoughts,
It flutters through the air,
It gives me joy to imagine,
That I’M flying way up there.
swooping through the skies,
My kite has eyes ablaze,
With sunlight as it flies.
My kite is a bird of prey,
Scanning the Earth for food,
It soars up high and glides,
Then dips when in the mood.
My kite is a butterfly,
Skittering on lacy wings,
Pretty colours fill my mind,
I hear its beauty sing.
My kite is full of happy thoughts,
It flutters through the air,
It gives me joy to imagine,
That I’M flying way up there.
