Monster Manifesto

Listen to Julie's poem ...
We lurk in darkest shadows.
We sneak and skulk and creep.
We scratch at midnight windows
And wake you from your sleep.

We’re a tap on the shoulder
When there is no one there.
We’re a howl in the distance.
A blast of ice-cold air.

You may think we don’t exist
But we are very near.
We’re Ambassadors of panic
and champions of fear.

We’re sinister and silent.
We’re menacing and mean.
We are always watching you
but we’ll never be seen.
